Hello, my gf bought a 2011 Toyota Corolla 2011 about 2 months ago. Took it to a mechanic before buying and everything checked out. 116k miles, clean title, etc. it’s been running like a champ since. Today we turned on the car and no problem but then whole stopped the check engine light turned on and the car started shaking. When driving it feels smooth but when you stop the shaking continues. What could it be? Did we get sold a lemon?

my first guess would be that it's not getting enough air or possibly fuel at idle but what's causing it is a different question.
I'd plug in a scanner to get some codes and post whatever codes you get here, you can also check the codes in your manual and see what it says posting that here as well/instead.
