I was given a car when my aunt passed and currently it’s mine to do whatever. It’s also my first car as I just got my license. The car is a 2000 Honda civic se (6th gen) and it’s not a looker. I want to do body mods and I want it to sound good without being one of THOSE civic owners😭. I’ve checked all I can and I can’t find anything for the body because it’s the 4 door rather than the 2 dirt or hatchback. I couldn’t find a turbo kit either. I want the turbo with a nice bov to make it sound a bit better. If you have any clue on where I can find parts for this car that fit or a turbo for the 1.6L 4 cylinder please send me a message. Thank you in advance🙏

it’s your first car and you just got your lísiense i know you might not like it but chill and enjoy the car and get more experienced at driving before anything else

#

also is it manual

Hey I appreciate the response. Trust me I’ve been enjoying it more that I would’ve thought. Every night I’ve been out pushing it to new speeds. Safely of course. I plan to keep this car for a while so I just wanted something to work on you know?

unless you know you have a fallback i wouldn’t dable with something as intensive as a turbo kit

#

exhaust and intake shi all day bc it’s hard to make your car unreliable with those mods unless you do something stupid

#

i know they’re kinda expensive but i would recommend a yonaka exhaust

#

they sound perfect not too loud not too quiet not raspy really

Would I need a specific exhaust kit from them or do they generally work on all civics or sum

And where could I get an air intake for it too?

Definitely not cheap but thanks for the suggestion. I’ll look more into it 🙏

I'd say the Civic is a good daily so just let it be that, a daily.

maintain it, fix any age related issues it might have and put good tires on there then enjoy.

if you do wanna make it feel more sporty then some good suspension, wheels and tires and a good shifter kit will go a long way.

I'd however ignore mods and instead save up money to get a nice project/weekend car using the Civic instead as a daily and a car to learn in.

maybe spend some money on track lessons or to do cheaper events like autocross or whatever you might have nearby
