I currently have a 2012 Nissan Frontier which I do love but I don’t enjoy having the payment and I don’t drive it enough to pay what I do. There’s a used 2011 Ford Escape (V6 with 90k) and a 07 Durango (5.7 Hemi with 155k) and they’re both about 3k. I will probably drive them 10k miles a year if not much less and I just want something that’ll last me at least a year or two. Any advice or issues I should look out for?
#Are the 2011 Ford Escape and the 07 Dodge Durango good cars?

Don't fucking touch that escape, massive ABS issues costing thousands
Is that Durango ticking?
No new cars are good
I’m gonna test drive it today maybe, the guy who’s selling it usually lists any/all issues on his site. It looks really good for the year
Yeah, the escape he said was having a random whining noise which I’m pretty sure is the torque converter in it? Maybe the alternator
depends on if it's connected to engine rpm or drivetrain rpm
I think it’s the drivetrain rpm
GG @neon gulch, you just advanced to level 1! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
hmm
i've never had an automatic car so i can't tell, but tbh i'd rather have drivetrain issues than engine issues on a newer car
Yeah, engine and transmission issues are my biggest worries with these cars. Engine with the ford and transmission with the dodge
buy both and put the dodge motor in the ford
