Looking to lower my Impreza relatively cheap.. Anyone got any advice? I was looking at getting coilovers but was told I have to get it realigned every time i adjust it? I want to be able to maybe slam it for photos then lift it enough to drive around without scraping. But I don’t want to spend all the money on bags. Need help!

also how am i supposed to lower it without the wheels hitting the top of the wheel chamber?
like in the photo.
Coilovers are expensive nonetheless
You don’t have an option where you can lower it and then raise it back up and it be cheap
what about alignment stuff?
and can coilovers get it as low as the photo for pictures?
which also brings me back to how to make the wheel not hit the wheel chamber
You can get pretty damn low on coilovers.
Coilover installation. Learn the benefits of adjustable coilovers such as lowering your car, stiffening your suspension, and adjusting camber. Also learn how to install coilovers and camber caster plates in your car with this in-depth video. After watching this video you will know how to install coilovers in your own car!
How to install rear c...
This is an install video but this will give you a better idea on how these work and how you adjust your coilovers.
In addition to that ^^^^ every time you change the ride height and intend to drive it, you’ll need it aligned. But for your plan of “lower it for pictures, raise it back up for driving” then as long as it’s aligned at the driving height you’ll be ok, just make sure it’s at driving height when you drive it.
I got a free option for you, take the springs out!
so you’re saying keeping it aligned at driving height at all times will work fine?
If you only lower it while it’s parked, then return it to the same ride height as before when you drive it, you’ll be ok. The ride height while your driving needs to not change, that’s the critical factor.
sweet sounds good
should i spend more on coilovers since they’re my main suspension?
like $400 or should i spend more
Spend closer to 1k
Or just put ur shit on washers lol
😹
for photos ideally yeah. i don’t think i’d be able to drive like that though
i was mainly asking about how the wheels wouldn’t hit the wheel chamber
but i could camber it and fix it thst way
i heard you should get camber if you’re getting coilovers?
So u need air suspension
You'll get some natural camber
Get BC Maxlows
I want a static car
that’s far too expensive for me right now
i’m not spending 2k on bags
Than u going static 😂
that’s what i was planning on
bro i’m not doing washers
i drive it daily
if anyone has good cheaper coilovers they know of let me know. i’m not really in the market of spending 1k on coilovers at the moment
idk to get that low u might need to
being that low on a daily bad idea abyway
jus get some rev9s ig lol
I bought blueline coilovers for my VW passat. Defenitely not the best quality, but they work.
nvm they dont make em for ur car.
Usually when you these exclusive JDM cars, the only coilovers available tend to be priceeeyyy.
not for daily, only for photos
ah okay
i’ll just get some in the 500 range and if they suck i’ll return em
Ok so everytime you want photos you are gonna jack it and take the wheels off to adjust the coilovers? 😭
yeah
it doesn’t take long plus when i do photo shoots i have the entire day booked off
it’s lot like i can’t drive it a little when it’s lowered too
Thats autistic
That means you have to take jacks jackstands and tools with you everywhere you go lol
Just go static bro
Send more photos of ur car
You gonna need wheels too
Coils might not be enough to get it that low
no im saying i’m not gonna have photo shoots every day at random times. i’m just gonna setup a shoot day every once and a while. it’s not like im going to photo shoot every day it’ll be like every 3-4 months
im just gonna get a front and rear lip for that i don’t want it to scrape the ground
the only reason i sent the photo was to ask how the wheel would not hit the wheel chamber but i’ve figured it out
Its gonna scrape
Run tires with very little sidewall
