I got an excess of tires right now and I also think I want to start buying them used... Save a little money while trying some different compounds and brands. Anyone done the used tire thing?
Bonus question if anyone can tell me how much life is in the tire pictured. I had to make this post because the main chat was moving too fast

I’ve bought and sold used tires, via Craigslist FBM etc, but always instances in which the tires were only barely used. As in, less than a thousand miles on them and still almost all the tread left. I wouldn’t get involved in well used tires like shown here - that has very little life left

Oh hey I didn’t even notice this was you! I bet you had a very fun 1500 miles getting the tires to that condition 😆

Having said that, unfortunately yeah that’s part of having super capable cars. If you want to do burnouts, get a set of cheap tires from Linglong or similar, and have a blast. But I’d suspect you’ll be wanting conti extremes or Michelin PSS or similar, for your track days. Might be able to find used ones on FBM but this car and driver is already tire hungry.
