Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some help with my 2011 Buick Regal CXL that's refusing to start. Here's a rundown of the issue:
Car won't crank but battery seems okay (lights, radio work fine)
P2176 trouble code retrieved
Ran out of gas about a week ago
Tried: purging valve (gas came out), starter fluid on throttle/air intake, replacing spark plugs
Based on the info I've found, the P2176 code suggests a Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system issue. Running out of gas also makes a clogged fuel filter a possibility. This all started when my car ran out of gas on my way home from work and hasn't turned on ever since. Put about 5 gallons of gas.
Here's what I'm wondering:
•Could the TAC system be causing the no-start issue despite gas purging from the valve?
•Are there any other steps I can try to diagnose the problem myself?
•Should I focus on getting the TAC system checked by a mechanic?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
