Battery died in 2017 F-150 LTX, replaced it and didn't know about the battery reset thing with the left stick 5 times & break 3 times until later but I did it and it drives and I can use tow mode and sport mode but there's error codes/wrench light. I tried checking a relay or two and nothing looked burnt out or anything. Any ideas what to try?

Take it to a dealer is what I’d do. That’s a lot of codes for just swapping a battery…

Well, then your probably SoL

I'm hoping its something simple, like a bad relay or something i did

Well, I know the Starter code is a Starter Performance code related to the Starter not being able to use Start/Stop.

Oh its not a wrench its just check engine light

We have a truck in the shop I work at that has that code

#

And the fix is Replace Starter in our case.

For all I know I didn't put a relay back in all the way

@proud pilot you know what, I never cleared codes after replacing the battery and doing the reset procedure like the next day or a couple hours later or something, maybe I should try that

Thats what it showed after "clearing"

Take it to a shop or dealer.

Yeah I like to at least try first

These new computers freak out over the tiniest issues like a dead battery. You'll need a more complex diagnostic tool to properly clear those codes.

#

A dealer will definitely be able to do it. But even a large reputable shop should have the equipment.

#

They will probably charge you one hour labor. So depending on the going rate where you live, it shouldn't be too bad.

Literally just clear those codes and drive it

If you don't have a scanner than can clear stored codes most modern Ford's will do it for you after you drive 50 miles or so

@azure spade @drowsy bear Thanks guys, I used one of those FIXD ODB II bluetooth devices and it did clear the codes on the dash, not sure if it still has them in the computer or what

#

but its driving and ive only gone maybe 5-10 miles and no lights yet
