and one wheel for some reason makes the car like jumpy, I go fast and it feels like ima lose control and stuff, maybe i should go to a mechanic
Yep, that last thing you just said, definitely a trip to mechanic is in order. That could be a failing ball joint and is a safety issue.
The buzzing is likely the door trying to finish opening but it’s at the end of its travel.
Ive never done a minivan door repair but id expect YouTube can show how to inspect the motor and drive mechanism
The noise?
Cuz it closes and it still makes the noise for a few seconds, someone said sum about the ac heater thing and someone said something about blend door actuator
Idek tbh.
Ooooooh - I was thinking noise from the door closing. The noise is from the engine bay?
I am genuinely not sure
Do you want me to make a video and show you the noise? i dont even know where it comes from
Sure! That will be helpful
If it’s the door noise I was thinking of, it would be real obviously coming from under the door sliding mechanism, so I doubt it’s that
ill show u rn, do u have instagram
GG @quiet mango, you just advanced to level 2! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
the noise it makes
That's weird
I've never heard any kind of noise like that before
No key in ignition just opening door and getting in
If you press the eject button on the radio does the screen open?
ACTUALLY
These vans have an internal hard drive
You can barely hear it running under normal conditions but that almost sounds like a failed hard drive
I don't know if it's even possible or if that's the cause
Hmm so what do you think i should do, the noise is hella loud, hmmmm
It's either that or a blend door
See if it registers the internal storage in the infotainment system
the left door is having issues, its kinda like not closing all the way so maybe the doors are having a problem what can i do or buy to fix these to see if thats the case
hard drive seems to show info
And also see if it'll blow air on every setting
Honestly I'd turn it to the manual door mode
Up where the power door buttons are there's an on/off switch
im new to cars so everything is so like confusing haha
We've never had a door fail on this van and it has 218k miles so I've never worked on them
hmm i see, dang
Blend door actuator
ty sir
@tough ledge And for the back wheel, i have front wheel drive and when i drive the back right tire is kinda bumpy i think, it makes it hard to steer at times, i can see it having me lose control, do u know what it may be? i put air in it so cant be that
also @tough ledge is it for Rear or front door
Go to a mecanic for that one
No it's an AC part
Ok I’m seeing three issues here. 1: the noise. +1 to Mango’s analysis of blend door actuator. +1 to Bob’s test, try all your hvac settings. If they all work, then this is an annoyance and not an issue. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HU5YGRXMOx4 for how to troubleshoot
2. The door not closing correctly. https://youtu.be/T1_cAX2zmiI?si=qLiHabZCTTQVUpD1 has a great breakdown of taking the door apart and troubleshooting.
3. The rear wheel issue. This is your most critical problem and you should not drive the van until it has been troubleshot

The goal here is to help anyone else who may be experiencing the same problems we were and give them guidance and confidence to fix it yourself.
The sliding door on our 08 Dodge Caravan has not worked properly in years. The buttons would not open or close the door. The door would 'try' to open, but wouldn't. So we knew our buttons/wiring was no...
As you’re new to all this, here is likely the thing to do. Get issue 3 corrected by a shop. Immediately. I’m an advocate for DIY but if this is a vehicle that you need on the road, then now is not the time to learn how to wrench.
Issue 2 is a good one to tackle DIY. Even if you don’t get it fixed the first time, as long as you can get it closed even manually then you haven’t made the vehicle in drivable and you won’t be “stuck”. After that, then go back and see if you want to tackle issue 1. Blend door actuators are generally a huge PITA, which also means it’ll be expensive if you don’t DIY.
Don’t know if this is resolved but is it the electric door that’s buzzing?
Not sure, Im new to cars so everything is very weird. I can record any video tests to show you if need
Ok so I had a 2017 grand caravan for about a year. Dodge is known for electrical problems and grand caravans are known for electric door problems (the side doors). For about 5 months when I closed the electric doors there was a really loud buzz, but I took it to a mechanic and they fixed it easily, but I don’t remember how pricey it was
