how tf does one take off a plastic welded taillight lense? Tried to heat it up and pull it off but shit is way too strong.. don’t want to ruin my lens and buy a new one so leaving it mint is mandatory. thanks.

The alternative is to cut it. What kind of car and what are you doing?

Oh. Ooooh. Oh no. Don’t do that. Why make yourself less visible to other drivers?

sorry ahah i should’ve made myself more clear.. anything that is chrome or white is going to be black

#

not the taillights themselves

Oooooh. Neat!

So on headlights I’ve done the oven thing (lowest setting of oven, bake for 5-10 minutes or until crust is golden brown, pry apart) but I’m not sure if the taillights have the flexible seal like headlights do

I don't think most taillights use the same kind of sealant as headlights
Primarily because there isn't the same heat factor out back on most cars so adhesive doesn't need to withstand 200 degrees regularly

But more importantly... you don't need to open them to tint them. Just remove them from the car and do what you gotta do

Also also... if you're using VHT you can mask off part and keep reflective and brightness requirements still. I've had 0 issues or tickets

something like this

black all inside

#

i’d have to get in there

Ahhhh I see. I dont think Ive seen that before on a taillight. Are you gonna replace the OEM lens with an all clear one? Cause the stock red lens wont show all that beautiful blackout

Moisture will damage the lights without a lens
