#will this work without a car antenna ?

If you can get even faint radio signal from the broadcasts over the air, this will be ok. If you get nothing in the radio, this will not work
i just get white noise tbh thats it
Eh…. Might not work, but it’s by far the cheapest option for you to get sound. Give it a shot.
That’s the better way to go. You’ll do better in the long replacing the stereo than using a workaround like that FM broadcaster.
the issue is its an off market one
its a £25 one from amazon

This is legit my car radio now
This
So that’s the challenge with aftermarket head units. In the US I suggest Crutchfield as they are top notch for making sure you have the right adapters and documentation. If there’s a similar car stereo seller in your country, that’s the better way to go. You’ll pay more than 25 pounds but get it right once and be done.
theres a halfords which i can buy a radio and set it up for like £90 ish
im from the UK (england)
Yep, so that seems to be the decision - cheapie FM unit or replace the stereo for about 90 pounds. I’d do the stereo and then not have to worry about it, but that’s me thinking long term.
i only plan on having this car for a few years so i might neeed to
sound wont matter since im using my cars speakers regardless but
this is the cheapest one
the issue is im actually a student who is BROKE
^^ this is the cheapest one
For what it’s worth, is there a shop near you that stocks an FM modulator that you can try it first? I expect that without an antenna you only would get signals from super close (so the modulator would work) but white noise only is what makes me nervous. Usually without an antenna hooked up I at least get a faint radio station.
Or borrow one from a friend
That’s the thing I’m not sure and I’ve asked my friends no one has one since all their cars have Bluetooth 😭😭😭
@next umbra wanted to ask after going through this video

at 0:48 she shows the amp fuse and interior fuse box but is there anything that needs to be done to connect the aftermarket radio to the car
Removing a standard 206 radio and installing an aftermarket Sony radio. The radio removal tool are super cheap to buy from eBay.
