You guys suggest a mazda 3 for a first car? I heard they're reliable and good on gas

Where are you shopping that a Mazda 3 is cheaper than a beat up old camry/corolla?

They are good cars though, i had a friend who didn't do an oil change for ~20k miles while the car already had 200k miles.
The oil looked like shit, but the car still runs fine at well over 220k
