This kinda stuff is glued on with a very strong adhesive, if you're gonna put a sharkfin type antenna over it then make sure it covers the surface of the old antenna "bulb", as removing it could also rip off a bit of paint or clear coat, normally this is really strong glue.

Try to use lots of heat (hair dryer or a heat gun) and a soft silicone blade like a squeegee to pry without damaging the paint. If you use heat it will come off a lot easier and have less risk of removing paint.

Be careful that you don't rip out the antenna wires by accident.

Hope this helps :)

by soft blade I mean something like silicone or a very soft plastic, otherwise you'll scratch the paint

#

start prying off on one side, and when you manage to wedge the thing in there just slowly keep applying heat and go all the way around, normally they only have glue on the edges

#

you don't need to go too far in with the prying tool, don't wanna snap the wires
