Drain plug seemed dry, and the leak was coming bit upper than the pan. I don't have tools to check more properly, the weather conditions arent suitable rn

Check that one, check for the o ring as well
If you drove over a bump and the thing is facing up and it wasnt secure, oil could come flying up and seeping out if the o ring is bad
Or any problem in the filter housing itself

You could have driven over a bump, oil got up there, slowly dripped out overnight

If you dont see any obvious problem with the o ring or lack thereof just lift it up you can see whatever its coming from easily
