Can the stock drivetrain even handle 1000hp?
I doubt it. Would probably need a dog box
So another 10k for the drivetrain
At least
i mean i got a budget of 70k so...
You should actually talk to a mechanic experienced in tuning GTRs and get a quote from him what needs to be done and how much you need to pay him to do it.
Alright, thanks.
That was for my L26 build in my Datsun
OP, exactly like GTi said, find a place that just does GTRs and go from there, that’s your best bet
I dont see a point in having 1000hp outside a dragstrip. You can realistically only use like 600hp on the street. Lowering your expectations will make a more drivable car and remove one digit from the pricetag.
what about a boost controller
I dont know much about GTR tuning but 600hp is in the realm of a tune and supporting mods and no need to mess with the rest of the drivetrain.
Alright.
@timid orbit and also, how am i ment to know what parts are compatible with what and the parts i choose for the power aim, like as an example, how am i ment to know if 1000cc injectors will be enough for 1000hp. I see all these people on reddit naming a whole list of parts that i maybe only half understand and the rest i dont know what that is or what it does
Building a car based on a list you found on Reddit sounds like an awful idea.
When you are building something extreme like this no parts are going to fit together. You are expected to make your own brackets, adapters, wiring and pipes, and still it's not guaranteed to work.
That's why I recommend you find a nissan tuning specialist/fabricator to do it for you. A few people in this server would like you to believe it is easy. It's either because they don't know wat they are talking about or a way to brag.
About injectors, well 1cc≠hp. But injectors are one of the few things that are quite universal.
damn alright
but try finding a Nissan specialist or tuner in the UK 🤣, there are definetly none in the UK, i would assume there would maybe be some in Germany but it would just be a pain, both driving the car to Germany and importing it
i just looked actually, there is one in the UK
i will message him and find the relevant info
Oh, you are in tke uk? Whats the local laws when it comes to tuning cars?
You should look that up. There is usually hoops to tune cars in a legal way, but you have to build the car from the getgo to be compliant. Otherwise you wont be able to get an MOT and because you are intentionally braking the rules they might impound the car.
Where im from you can modify the suspension and brakes pretty much anyway you want as long as its safe. But as soon you start to do major modifications to the engine you will get in trouble and the car will loose its status as a vehicle.
I know that in germany every modification must be approved by an inspection facility, including aftermarket wheels in some cases.
aha
GG @teal sun, you just advanced to level 3! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
Thought he was in the US lol
Same.
In my mind there are 3 currencies that are acceptable to use in a forum. USD, Euro and pound. So I have no idea why he used dollars.
Honestly, by this point I think it's just a kid who found a gtr on gumtree.
Had to look that up. Like the UK version of CraigsList
Yeah
i brought it from a private seller on autotrader in the uk...
