#does this sounds like chain slack?

Is this only when idling? @whole rose
Only cold start. After 5 min or so, it goes away or be more quieter
Coming from left belt side tho, so I guess not timing chain. Possible oil chain slack?
Gotta be the pump tensioner yes
Ok! Thanks. Here’s question- pump chain tensioner is small plastic piece with spring. So they are not hydraulic tensioner. Why do they go quiet when engine is warm? I don’t hear anything when it is warm
So technically they are working when hot but not in cold
technically yes but not optimally - it will get worse by time i'd get it replaced asap cause i wouldnt wanna wait 5 minutes every time i start up the car to even drive it
because if you rev it up it will damage your engine
Thanks. Will do. Sending my car to euro shop to do final diag and going to replace it
sounds good! good luck
Sorry to interrupt again but today was very warm, cold start around 26c. Still sounds like chain? It is passenger side wheel, so belt side.
Hey! I got the results after pulling oil pan. it was not pump chain since tensioner looks great and chain was not wobbling, pump was working too. now it is mystery again. hahaha
