#1995 F150 5.0 4x4 front Inner wheel bearing race welded to spindle

My truck exploded a wheel bearing a bit ago, got everything on the rotor cleaned up but the inner race seems welded to the spindle. Is it safe to apply heat to try to expand the race and beat it out? Also tempted to just cut it with the angle grinder, being careful for the spindle. Any other suggestions would be nice, thanks

Bubba that's just a spindle. Clean it up

Nah

#

The rotor don't fit

#

New race and wheel bearing in the rotor and packed, seal put back on how it should go, but that's physically stopping it from going into place by a good inch

The inner race of the bearing is stuck on there

Figured, just wanted to be sure

Yeah just take one cut on top almost or all the way through

#

Then graph a hammer with a chisel and it should come off

#

You can make more cuts just keep in mind the more you cut, the more you risk damaging the spindle

#

But I’m sure you will be fine

I took a quick look on the forums and they seem to say the same thing, thanks

Of course, just take pictures and keep us updated

I’ve had a few of these - can use a grinder to cut three grooves at 10, 2, and 6 oclock. Then use a small three jaw puller in those grooves.

Just make a small cut and hit it with a punch. It's just a spindle, I promise people have done worse than you're about to

Don't wanna do that again lol

Haha change all your wheel bearings then. If it’s cost effective and not to much of you’re time

#

May be worth doing

I'm at least gonna take apart the front passenger side and inspect it, since it's making a little noise

Rears have been quiet
