Vintage plates, ur car needs to be over 25 years i believe, and it cant be daily drivin, it can only be for events. But like normally, you’d go to the court and ask for a “vintage/historical” plate :))
I know for BC Canada which has very similar laws and regulations to California. The vehicle has to be in also really good condition and have all oem parts on it. No aftermarket or non oem replacements
my cars 50 but i heard somewhere that you need to have a non historical plate registered to be able to get a historical plate, do you know if this is true?
this i got checked already. my cars fully stock and previously has arizona historical plates. but it seems the process for california is much different
i did end up getting a forum to fill out that shows it and it just says after 1922 and at least 25 years old
No, thats not true from what i know, im sure u can register one using the dmv website
^ this as well
thank yall
You’re welcome
i’m getting normal plates first and doing my registration with hagerty and i’ll prob go back to classic plates later down the line. found a good insurance cost
also when the time comes i think ill be good on the condition aspect of it
Lucky it used to be 25 here now its 45 years
