So i got some ebay halos on my car and they didn’t really hold for long and came loose. I’m planning on just putting them in my oven to open it up and glue em back and reseal it, but is there a proper way/time and heat to do it? Should be fairly easy as it’s cheap mazda plastic

Heat gun, not oven

#

You talking about pulling the lens off and fixing the halos

#

I assume

#

Safer for your headlights and your health to use a heat gun. The sealant will fume up depending on the construction of it. With a heat gun you can control how much and how fast that sealant will soften.

#

If you still plan to use ur over, make sure ur parents ain’t home and after u bake it; crank it up to the highest temp to get rid of the fumes.

#

Usually you only resort to the oven for baking paint

#

For the halo, a 2 part epoxy will keep it from coming off ever again.

I do have a heat gun it’s just the smallest thing ever 🤣 By the time i heat up one corner and move on to the next it’ll be cold again

As it still is possible that it may fume; even if you can’t smell anything I would still set the oven to the highest temp for 20-30mins just to get rid of anything.
