You won’t need to rebuild the engine every 30k kms. They’re not the most reliable engines but they’re not bad. For a weekend/fun car probably isn’t the best option as you can find something a bit faster or something turbo for some more fun at the same price.

Well that's a good new at least, it got me a bit worried when I read about that!
Would you have any suggestion of cars I could look at? I really like the way the car looks, so I was looking at mx5, gt86 and bzr but did not really catch any other being available and in the same kind of car

Also if the engine is better than what I expected, how would the idea of selling the series 1 and getting the brz for a daily be?
I could always by another fun car too then

Honestly just depends what you wanna do. If it was me I’d have the brz as a daily and pick something else for a weekend car. But it’s really just what you feel like doing you can do whatever u want

Yeah that'd be something I'm down to do! Hopefully it can handle the 400km I do weekly?
Then I just need to find a fun car to buy with a turbo or something I guess, gonna have a look at what would fit the requirements

Are they gonna be reliable in 5-6 yrs later ?

I just started working, thinking of saving up for this

Also, hows the 86/brz holding up for the 2013 models now, as its 10 yrs old now

My cousin has an 2013 86 and it’s been holding up well. It’s completely stock and he does drive it pretty hard, just regular maintenance goes a long way
