It’s happening over bumps so it could be suspension related. You won’t know until you lift the car and start inspecting and put your hands on things.

^^^^^^ get the car in the air and look for play in suspension. +1

Ya I replaced just strut bushing on the right side. Wonder if his left one has now exploded.

#

Can a suspension too stiff cause strut mount bushings to explode @formal umbra @obsidian knoll

#

The bushing had completely sheared itself apart, so idk if the other side could have gone now. Do they go often at around 200,000kms?

I’m currently putting my rear struts back on so give me a few mins and I’ll take pictures of my mounts at 143k

#

There not as exposed as some other cars but the bushings are fine

#

Forgot your Canadian. 143k miles is what I’m referring to lol

This was the video when his right side bushing completely exploded

#

Not really ig

Idk what it could be

It could be strut mounts for sure. This is a test I do. With a bushing that is in question, soak it with WD40. If the sound goes away. That’s your bushing lol

Just went for a ride with him. It is 100% something with the suspension. Sounds more like an organic rubbery sound with a bit of a squeak. I am gonna have to take a look at it underneath next weekend cause it is fucking cold as shit. Would a change in temperature cause struts to squeak? Dropped like -20 over a day or two?

#

Just glad it wasn’t the brakes or something cause I just did his front brakes for him that day and then after a test drive he went on his way and at 1 in the morning I got that video and I was like 💀

I would assume the temperature change would make a difference, especially if it’s that cold. So I don’t blame you.
