Hey all, just wanted some quick advice. The Turbocharger control valve on my Volvo C30 went bad recently and is throwing a CEL. There's also sometimes a sudden loss in power when I'm accelerating.

New part comes Wednesday. Was wondering, though, is it okay to drive the car like this until the new part arrives? I don't want to end up causing damage to the turbocharger or something if either spirited or regular driving could do that.
TIA.

You're basically just losing boost pressure randomly.

But, to be sure, what year is your C30

yeah funny story
I was blinded by brodozer high beams one night which made me hit this big dip in the road at 30mph
The belly pan thing was found to have fallen down a little bit, and that's exactly where the valve is
I'm guessing this caused that :/

Very possible. A lot of boost control valves are near the bottom of the engine bay
