Is that electric clicking noise from u hitting the unlock button or is the a key only entry
If it the electric system is trying to unlock the door to no avail or struggling also; u gotta take off the door trim and have a look at what is going on
If the key only entry is messed up, the pins are just worn or damaged
Yea I thought that’s would would have to happen
Thanks for the help tho man
had the american equivalent, with the same problem. the keyway wore itself out and one or more of the pins got stuck. find a way to take out the barrel and inspect it.
take some pics and lemme know if or when you get to that point
Just to confirm that's the VT era right?
this might also be a low battery. possibly and electrical user since those vehicles NEED ADEQUATE BATTERY POWER TO OPEN IT MANUALLY
GG @calm kernel, you just advanced to level 1! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
I doubt it does because then how are your meant to get into the car if your battery dies
The central locking doesn’t work if the battery is dead
Holdens were made very weird. The fact that the car would basically try to impersonate fort knox when it dipped in battery voltage would make it seem like everything works but simply it doesn’t. From my fellow folks who lived in the land down under, they just said bust the windows because not even a locksmith would be able to get in.
Nah the battery on mine is fairly low in the engine bay infront on the right wheel arch so if it dies and it’s locked I can just connect jumper kit to the battery and let it charg
good stuff
