I was starting my 156 after it had sat unused for about 2 months and when it started it made weird knocking noises so I turned it off not wanting to break anything even more, any idea what it could be? (See the video)

Well if the engine is making that noise then. Your motor is already done and you might as well keep it running to see where the sound is coming from
With that being said, I don’t think it’s the motor. Sounds like something else is rattling

whenever i start it, it makes the noise and then the engine cuts off, like in the video but when i immedietaly start it after everything is fine and it makes the noise but then it stops and everything is good
one of my friends whos a mechanic said it could be because the oil isnt reaching all the places in the engine or the oil is overall low but i havent checked it yet but i will tomorrow

If the engine is making that noise because the oil is low, the engine is done. The damage has already happened.
