On every continent it's the same answer for Best Car for New Driver/Buyer

Accord or Camry
Camry or Accord

Best combo of reliability cost power and space. Any generation you can afford is a good one

#

Still need to be mindful of major accidents and service history but there are plenty of good ones in every budget range

If i say i want a relatively good looking car then hehehe. Im willing to spend extra to get something other than those

Fair enough but looks are the most subjective measure so that's kinda on you and what you think looks good

....what Do you think looks good?
For reliability and cost to own you want to generally avoid European cars

#

Audis look great but are hard on pockets

#

Bemz BMW will have astronomical maintenance costs

For looks, one of my favourite looking cars all is a Jaguar ftype, so sporty cars. Im also considering just going higher on the budget and buying a model3 (ik yall will hate on it lol), but teslas are cars i actually know stuff about.

What im hearing though is you would recomend looking at more Japanese brands

#

I fucking hate the Gwagon for example, thats a disgusting car

stray tiger
#

The big two Japanese brands known what they're doing when it comes to entry level competent sedans

#

I may have converted your budget poorly. Sounds like you got some room to be picky.
Tesla I wouldn't recommend but your cash, your car. Tesla build quality is the main detraction

yeah ikik, i worked as an ROV mechanic for 3 years so i did get hate for liking tesla hahaha

stray tiger

Oh dam you worked in a shop. I should be asking you lol

brazen walrus

Not a car mechanic, i was an ROV mechanic

#

So i dont know anything about cars

#

Especially ice cars, i was also an electronics apprentice, so i like teslas ๐Ÿ˜„

Can't say that I would but I also imagine very different price ranges for those.

A well maintained Accord or Camry will roll strong over 250k miles (400km ??)

#

I have a 2016 Accord (yes I am biased) w 125k miles. Never had to do more than basic maintenance and she runs beautiful

#

Dad had an 89 Accord we parted with after 400k. An accident took her out

#

Old roommate had a camry he took for an oil change. They drained and did not replace oil. A month later he asked me to look, Camry was bone dry running decent

the accord and camry is a tiny bit more expensive ๐Ÿ™‚ But i get the point, id never buy a european car with over 100k lol. But thanks for the guidance! I get what your saying

I also second the notion of buying toyota and/or honda; I just had to bare witness to my friend buying a new a4 and died a little inside when he went thru with it ๐Ÿ’€
