Hey i recently went through inspection and the dude said my car passed everything except the mileage reading. it’s 140k miles but he said it wasn’t reading right and the way to correct it is just to DRIVE MORE . i’ve never heard of this problem, can you guys vouch or give me more info? I have 30 days.

I have no idea, he didnt tell me much, he just said that i failed and that its fine and its common and all i have to do is drive more

maybe someone put the wrong miles on a recent service, it's on your carfax, and he is trying to help you avoid a mileage discrepancy from appearing on the carfax?

Have you changed the wheel size on the car? If so then ur speedo and odo arent reading right and you need to get it recalibrated because the wheels may be bigger or smaller causing the rotation of the wheel to be off
If not you can try resetting the battery to get it to read properly and if all else fails take it to the shop to get it recalibrated
