Buying 1st Car

I'm driving my dad's mini cooper 2019 hardtop 2 door manual but thinking of getting my own car.
I've been trying to find a cool but reliable car at the same time that isnt expensive to repair or high maintenance costs.

What are some good cars to look for?
and what should i avoid or look out for when buying cars on facebook marketplace?

For a crossover, my first car was a ‘14 CRV

If you wanna go a bit further, an old Tacoma would do great as a pickup truck
