Hi, my 2015 honda crv recently had starter issues so I took it to the mechanic. They quoted me at $1,100 for the repair and to me that seems absolutely ridiculous but I don’t know that much about cars and repair cost. Is this a reasonable price or am I be screwed by the mechanic?

If I remember correctly the starter is probably under the intake

Assuming that is true then they'll be replacing all of the intake gaskets as well
