New to modding I’ve got a stock 2022 Kia GT1

What are all the mods I could do without swapping the engine, transmission, or modding/changing the ecu

I’ve got about
Horsepower: 350 hp
Torque: 360 lb-ft
Transmission: 8-speed automatic
0-60 Acceleration: 4.7 seconds

What can I add change or swap besides the big 3
To get
Horsepower: 400-550 hp
Torque: 500 lb-ft

99% of the time if you want power you need a tune to accommodate the modifications

im not sure what u mean by how to mod your car to be more powerful by not tuning

#

what engine is it?

Sorry im new to all this
I messed up the wording

So yes I want to tune up my turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine

What would be a good air intake filter, manifold, plug, swap
Right now I want to add more air as that’s my lowest point
Than I’d want to look into the fuel injectors than the
Timings of the spark plugs, and the ecu,

I thought about getting bms intake air intake filter or k&n performance air intake filters, pulstar plugs, and some kind of blow off valve for my turbo

One more note I have a MAF in the engine

As for timings and actually getting the right finer detail I need someone more experienced for that

You're not getting 150whp out of an air intake unless you get a really, really aggressive tune and I'm not sure your engine can handle how much power you want

#

Alright looks like i was wrong, you can do around 475whp on the stock turbo

#

And the internals are supposedly good till 800 which i doubt

Thats what I figured it’s got potential but im not gonna be stock forever it’ll be later down the road that I swap out anything major for now I might do more surface level stuff

I’m not looking for the best of the best I just want something that can make the most of what it has

I wouldn’t mod a Hyundai

#

They have oil lubrication issues

#

Their valve train systems get clogged up easy with carbon deposits too. Save your money to keep it reliable in stock form

prisma iris
#

It’s a Kia

Hyundai co owns, Hyundai, Kia and genesis

It’s a Hyundai

prisma iris

That’s 33% tho thats like saying there’s coke in your sprite

#

Not a good analogy nvm

It’s a Hyundai

#

They come from some of the same factories

Ok

Dude why are you arguing about this; you didn’t even know lol. Anyways. I would save your money for oil changes. Go for a good synthetic oil each time and do em earlier. I would also take good care of your valve train and have it constantly cleaned of deposits

#

Also save your money for parts

#

Keep it stock and reliable’s

#

Since these cars have oil lubrication issues from factory you don’t wanna run any hotter. So I wouldn’t push any power out of it. Don’t forget oil is also a cooling lubricant.

I was referring to a true cold air intake with proper ducting, but i do agree that modifying kia's is generally a bad idea

His best bet would be to save his money. These cars are the most reliable stock; they ain’t meant to hold any power with the problems with their oil lubrication and valve train

#

Since you have the best pfp name; good stuff to know if another guys hops on asking how he should mod his Hyundai

#

Lol

drifting raven
#

I've heard (on forums and whatnot) of the internals on this specific car being good till 800ish hp but i suppose that doesn't matter if it's not lubricated well

if you are pushing for power u got to do it right

drifting raven
#

Oh I'm sure not long lol as the stock turbo only goes till 500whp if you push it hard
