- What provider?
- What state?
- Any prior accidents?
bmw e36 honda civic or toyota
this is for insurance
Rates are likely to be higher when you're younger, and any accidents or tickets on your record will also increase your monthly premium
but I smell bullshit
american family, minnesota, no
i am getting used
are you being added to an existing insurance plan or getting your own?
getting my own
are you getting state minimum coverage or comprehensive, etc
minimum
your 6 month premium really shouldn't be over 1k to 2k unless you have an expensive vehicle or accidents on your record. varies by state but that's the general range
have you looked at other insurance providers?
is a $23k dodge charger rt expensive?
not yet
given your age and the vehicle choice they probably jacked up your premium assuming you'd be expensive to insure
shop around at other providers
i was thinking of getting it under my dad
I'm seeing the average for coverage in your state for a year is less than 2k for full coverage
my brother got a camry and he only pays $250
yeah this quote is insane
let me see if any other places have different ranges for the avg
not really. definitely try another company
the cost of your premium will change if you have a loan on the vehicle, so keep that in mind
gotcha
per month jesus christ
I thought mine was bad being £2,100 with black box per year lol
This is the best option.
Those numbers are high because you are under 25, by your self, and this is probably your first time with vehicle insurance.
Having a loan on a vehicle means you have to carry full coverage, that’s it. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be more expensive. For example, I had a 2012 Nissan Altima with full coverage. In 2021, I purchased a brand new RAV4 and put full coverage since you have to. My rate for the RAV4 was cheaper then the Altima, both at full coverage.
But in your case, it would be more money. Just figured I’d share some knowledge with you.
Dawg, per month? I'm 19 and I paid 850 for a 6 month plan, complete full coverage. I would definitely try and get it under your dad's. That's was too much.
Try a local insurance broker. They can usually hook you up with good prices. There's a reason they are still in business.
