Just curious. For educational purposes, what does it feel like for an automatic transmission to slip?

Engine RPMs increasing yet the car isn't moving forward like normal. Think kind of like driving up a steep hill mixed with stopping the car so softly it doesn’t jerk back at all

Depending on how much it slips it could look like higher than normal rpms while accelerating to feeling like you're revving in neutral when you put any power down. If it slips bad you will know though

My car does that when I floor the gas pedal abruptly but it's alright when I accelerate slowly.
I know I have a slipping transmission but I just didn't feel it all that much when I accelerated slowly so I just wanted to kind of know what I should be feeling when driving just for educational purposes.
