#2005 Escape mods.

I would like suggestions for mahs and things to change. Remove or replace in the car to improve the overall ride. One thing that is kind of annoying is it's mileage is. Around 250 K. The gas mileage is not there And honestly never has been. But I need some way to improve the ride. It's a nice car, the brakes feel nice to me.
The engine Pulls back a lot when it's just in drive So if you were to take these pedal off at anything above 10 Miles an hour, you feel the car start to slow down way quicker than it should. It's not the design of the car. It is the fact that it's old, the Electrical components of the car are iffy They work their bit laggy and slow but not the worst. I also need a bit of extra support with help for safety. I am a safe driver and a good driver. The car doesn't have any safety features. That current car is have and I am fine with that Except for the fact that the headlights are very damn compared to current headlights and stuff like that. I don't need any like auto breaking or anything like that. I just need better headlights and stuff like that if there's cheaper mods or good suggestions that any of you guys have. I would really, really appreciate it.

Also just a comment. I know that there are weird capitalizations and, and. In this and I just wanna say. I don't wanna hear any grammar or punctuation police. I know I used Text-to-Speech to do this. Because it is way easier for me. My fingers are too large for the keyboard on the phone And it's just way easier.

Ok so it sounds like you need a new car.

But if you want to improve the ride quality:
New struts. OEM struts.

Better gas mileage:
Check fuel injectors, spark plugs, clean out any carbon build up. Check fuel filter, engine air filter, etc.

A vehicle like this would probably not be worth repairing so just like Florida Man said, may be time for a new car.

If it was like a Toyota platform or something similar it would be worth it. I have heard of Escapes if this generation making it to 250k before but I wouldn’t push it.

Dude Im with you. You hold an attachment to this vehicle. In reality it just depends on how much your willing to spend. So let’s do this.

So first fix any major mechanical issues the car may have

#

Look at cel codes

#

Next get the car on jackstands and check for leaks

#

Oil, coolant, power steering, struts, differential, transmission

#

Check for carbon build up

#

In the engine

#

Then make a list of what needs to be replaced

As for electrical issues, it might just be the system is old as hell

Id look into an aftermarket head unit.

For safety….. you can’t really upgrade airbags or add radar

But you can add a backup camera
