Tire Pressure Monitoring System

#

Check the pressure at all 4 corners. My car throws false TPMS occasionally

Go to nearby shop or get lift you’re vehicle completely, then remove all the air out you’re car , then refill the correct amount (you can get the correct tyre pressure for you’re vehicle by searching it online). Normally it’ll do it , but if you’re still facing problem after 1-2 days then reset that sensors by connecting via OBD and resetting the sensor data.

You might have a TPMS Calibration in your vehicle settings. If so, hit that and see if the light comes back

Actually checking your tire pressure with a guage is important but the TPMS sensors may be malfunctioning which is less important to fix but obv causes confusion and anxiety

Always try to do this type.of tire pressure work when the car has been sitting. Don't want to measure pressure after they have heated up

night wyvern
#

if they were malfunctioning the tire light would flash for an extended time on startup, also there is a chance they have a TPMS reset button in the dash

worthy sapphire
#

And it has only been a flat when it's FLAT

night wyvern
#

in my case it flashes for an extended time cuz i have a dead sensor, wdym solo?

worthy sapphire
#

Like just that TPMS symbol lights up in my dash and stays on. No.other lights

night wyvern
#

sounds like a functioning system, you have a low tire TCC_Kek (to me anyway)

worthy sapphire
#

I thought that too but interweb says 2016 accords do this

#

Not by design, clearly

#

Has caused many panicked pull overs to the shoulder to check

fiery pasture
#

Hey guys can you help me I got an interesting problem

night wyvern
#

might have a dying sensor, mine kept coming on and off before it just stayed on

#

if you try to reset the TPMS system and the light doesn’t go away then your sensor is 100% dying

fiery pasture

Hey…

worthy sapphire

What's the issue @fiery pasture
May want to.start a new thread if it's not TPMS related

Just add air to all the tires. Good practice to stay up on tire pressure.

#

Inside the drivers side door jam, you will see an information sticker about your vehicle.

#

On that sticker, it is going to tell you what pressure to fill the tire too.

#

It’s better to add air to the tires in the morning since heat increases pressure and you will get an off reading after driving and after it has been sitting in the heat.

#

Do not fill the tire with air with the max PSI reading that you see on the tire. Fill it to what the door jam sticker says.

^ this

always use your car’s sticker for tyre pressure, and not the number on the tyre itself. Your TPMS is calibrated to that PSI and different trim levels of the same vehicle in the same vehicle year may have different ratings

also do you have a way to check tire pressure from your dash or no? if you can that could help TS if the computer is reading it correctly or not

#

@last tulip not huge, if you go to a gas station there should be a pump you can use to fill up your tires for like a dollar or two

#

If you don’t know how to do it than ask the person inside to help

junior plover
#

if your tyres aren’t bulging more than normal at the bottom you are fine
filling to the right level is recommended but in that case no immediate action is necessary

#

some effects of running a slightly deflated tyre are:

slightly reduced fuel efficiency (almost negligible)
slightly increased traction (a decent amount)
slightly increased tyre wear (negligible)

#

when running fully (rim on ground) flat you end up with a lower ride height, poor handling, pulling, accelerated tyre wear, potential rim damage, potential suspension damage (i.e. you hit a pot hole and there is no air cushion between the rim and tyre to reduce some force), very poor traction, tyre slipping, reduced brake effectiveness

#

but that is no air at all flat

Tire air pressure.

How much pressure will be in ur tire.

Its good to have a tire pressure gauge in the vehicle just in case.

Now in winter it will turn on alot but that’s cause the pressure changes.
It will turn off eventually but its good to check the tire pressure with the gauge ever do often.

⚠️Do not go over the number (psi) on ur vehicle.⚠️
