Driving wears tires, how many kms or miles have you put on them?
You should replace those asap
A little over 40k miles @wicked valve is that enough to wear them out like that? I didn’t replace or rotate all 40k miles. And yeah, I’m replacing asap. New tires will be here next week
You live in the city? If so that's plenty of time depending on your driving habits
If you want tires and stuff to last longer accelerate and brake slower, corner slower, etc. Otherwise they wear out much faster.
If you look at your tire tread you will see that there are raised parts in the grooves every now and then, when the rest of the tire reaches that level it means they are done. You should avoid having tires be bald like that, it is very dangerous, ever watched an f1 car on slicks in the rain? Same idea
Got it. That makes sense. Expensive mistake on my part.
Appreciate it!
I live right outside the city but I do drive a lot.
I’ve had this car for 2 years. A little over 40k miles.
No worries, it's just a big safety thing, tires are the only part that touches the road so it's important to get good tires and keep an eye to make sure they aren't too worn and are properly inflated
If it's a leased car, isn't the company you're leasing from responsible for maintenance?
maintenance, yes. like the natural wear and tear. but this is definitely more than natural wear and tear haha
I don't lease myself but from a quick Google search it seems like here (Netherlands) the lease company factors the price of maintenance into the lease contract, and is responsible for reimbursement of maintenance including tires and all that, at a lease company approved garage/dealership
Yeah for wear like that to occur, it seems you have a heavy foot lol. Nothing you can’t work on getting better at. But that tire in the video is shot and needs to be replaced.
What is concerning is the outside wear of the tire. Looks like you may possibly be out of alignment. At over 40k miles, I’m sure your Murano is due for an alignment.
Look at your owners mainual/maintenance schedule. It should tell you. Just had mine done on my ‘21 RAV4 and at 36k and it needed to be done. Graph showed I had a bad toe on the front left.
