That's what I was thinking but the channels are connected
as in, under full boost it throws water into the cilinder to the exhaust manifold
@pulsar harbor
U talking about this part of the intake manifold
If you have no gasket coolant can leak
No it can leak into the intake
the square ports are coolant passages. If you have a cracked intake manifold gasket or something weird it could leak into ur intake
So it could suck up some coolant and burn it causing the white smoke
While your inspecting your rb check all the coolant lines and gaskets. The lines (oem) tend to get very weak and brittle very fast which causes coolant leaks. When I pulled my 25 head off for my 26 head swap I was surprised by the amount of coolant stains on a 45,000km engine.
I see I didn’t read it all; ya she would have to have a bad exhaust gasket for the coolant to leak into the exhaust.
Coolant is quite corrosive sometimes, so a line leak above could have done the job.
I would still get a new gasket it though for the intake. It’s like only 70cad
Your turbo is water cooled right?
@subtle minnowTurbo is an Holset HX40 with custom turbine, it's just oil cooled.
Cilinder 2 is wet from water so spark plug won't ignite
It's running on 5 cil, because my intake gasket is literally non existent
What I'm doing right now is getting my intake manifold machined and powdercoated for looks, ordered an OEM intake gasket and new coolant
going to do that first, and check for leaks and what not
coolant level way super super low after the white smoke curtain
almost nothing left in my radiator
exhaust manifold^
you can tell that around cil 2 there's literally nothing on the water channel
previous owner really fucked up here
just checking what it did
and it seemed like it was burning the coolant that was located in my exhaust manifold
and the steam was coming (presumably, I'm guessing here) out of the turbo/heat wrap
Take a quick look at your oil, just wondering if it could be your head gasket also.
Other than that, not too sure on where the coolant could be coming from
?
That shouldn’t cause it not to fuel or spark
It should just be running rich a bit if there is a boost leak
Btw do you drive your rb without a air filter? I wouldn’t do that. The cylinder head and valves are very delicate
The only other stuff around there is ac and heater lines
Crazy, ya idk. Could be like a head gasket
Oil is fine, not milky
It’s running rich since the cil went out 9.5 afr
I took it off to access the manifold
Ac isn’t filled, heater works
It’s possible, I was just checking if the intake could be a likely possibility before I pull the head
If it’s fixed with just an intake gasket
that’d be neat
What ignition system are you using? Are you using a stand alone?
I've got a KMS ecu if that's what you mean
That’s exactly what I mean. Are you in Europe?
