I was thinking about just using the side of the road but i rmemeber the old owners of my home jacking their car on the driveway

The side of the road would be safer because there's no slope (or at least there shouldn't be) but if you happen to have a really flat driveway good for you

The jacks ive used have never sunk into asphalt before,
I have heard of americans warning others that it might sink in
