engine swap it with a b20 vtec.
if i was inside of your shoes i would remove the muffler, resonator and the catalyctic converter and revove anything that restricts the car and refurbish the engine.
and straight pipe the whole exhaust.
Why are you even bothering looking at a 18 year old accord with that many kms ?
To contribute anything actually helpful to this. The owner seems to have invested quite a bit of money recently and even though Hondas are known to be reliable, he doesn't mention anything about the engine. If you go for a test drive and it behaves strange just stay away from it. And no swapping a b20 vtec into it is neither a good idea nor an easy/cheap task. Starting off with the fact they're not cheap to begin with, while also never came into this generation of accord. Also straight piping it will probably make you hate your car because it will sound absolutely atrocious.
i disagree with your suggestion.
How much are they asking for? Those V6s are very good motors. Though I’m sure the car will need a clutch soon if the owner hasn’t done one in a while. But all new suspension and brakes might make this a great A to B car
