Audi 80 with a monomotronic
Preferably jdm or American forgot to put that lol
Ah no idea
ofc the obvious, honda civic
but just stay away from anything past 1998 in my opinion
go to auto tempest and look around, it will take a while to find one right for you
Nothing is less then 4k near me for civics on tempest 💀
yha prices have been insane lately, drive around and find old cars, knock on some doors
GG @inland vault, you just advanced to level 10! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!
or wait
Skylines are pretty nice, great cars to mod. Like lego
Idk what your budget is but u can get ones with a 25 in them for under 9k
mid 70s X-body GM cars
Chevy Novas
Buick Skylark/Apollos
Pontiac GTO/Venturas
Oldsmobile Omegas
they all share the same chassis with a good sized aftermarket
but
if you're looking at Fords, Mavericks and Mercury Comets are a good choice too
Cool thanks everyone ill look into them
If your looking at American just choose something popular, trans am is a good one, Camaro, mustang, etc.
Those have a ton of aftermarket support and depending on generation can still be pretty cheap
Chevy has a better engine platform imo I wouldn’t buy anything Ford imo for American
Anything with an SBC is a good bet
Mopars are pretty solid too but they are so expensive
Not as expensive as jdm
Depends on the model
Any muscle car other than a duster and your going to be paying a load of cash for rusted out shells
Supras and skylines are 100% more expensive; but worth it imo
I will never understand those prices
I could buy a hemi cuda for what those things go for
A used rb26 cylinder head that needs to be machined can run up 3k or more bare
And building one with medium rated parts (just the cylinder head) will run up 15k
Ya my 26 cylinder ain’t even machined or put together, I have spent already 10k on parts including the head. Probably gonna be easily 16k when done if u include the covers and sparks and packs
It’s is worth it though, amazing chassis, handles so well. One thing Americans miss-out on
My C3 handles pretty damn good
My Camaro drives like an ocean liner but I still love it so much
Thats like the only well handling American car, and imo I don’t like it that much because of the leafs.
Ive driven Japanese cars, NA miatas, SC400s
But for the price they pretty good, most Japanese cars though are built for corners from factory which I like about them
Still not as fun imo
Miatas are pretty ass imo, I don’t blame u
I dont fit in the damn things either
I don’t see how your Camaro handles better than a sc though
It doesnt
It handles like garbage
My moms Equinox handles better
I just like driving the Camaro more
I mean it is meant for straights
I get that
Real quick want to take this to your rides so we dont clog this up?
I second this
I’ve only worked on two cars mine which is a 08 mustang (manual) and my dads project that’s a 1935 Chevy coupe (manual) so it’s mostly to learn on too since I mostly just know basics and how stuff works and under 5k preferably
This ever get solved? If looking for cheap you can probably find a Ford Escort zx2 for $800 or less. Easy to turn into a track or rally car. If you want something a little more you could probably haggle for a cheaper side 1997 mustang if you look around.
Thr volvo does seem like a good option but good luck finding one cheap. Depreciation value is never sold on those
You could definitely probably get your hands on a beat to shit miata
