Hi so my Mazda recently has a Timer issues due to bad water pump (according to mechanic ) so was leaking water Got the water pump replaced . Now when it stars it has the variable timer ticking noise how I know it’s the timer?. cuz it does tht when it starts and it also make same noise when going above 3k RPM well I ignored tht until now the SUV will just stall while braking .
I wanna know is it the timer making it stall or something else can be the issue
Any solution. And suggestions ?

Judging from oil pressure light and the slow knock, a rod bearing is gone
It's kaput
Well u are right
I thought would be a timer issues
But the mechanic said the crankshaft is damaged due to low oil pressure
So now we r replacing the engine
And low oil pressure cuz the net bibs the oil plz was dirty
Can’t believe Mazda made such a weak engine
How often do you change your oil
yikes that sounds like rod knocking
