That was just the brake pads sticking to the rotors. The caliper may release pressure but somety that doesn't unstick the pads. Once enough force is applied to the drive train it pops them free. Sticking pads can be common if it was wet or cold out.

yeah ive done that now haha ive left it in reverse so if i try to start it my sensors will go off so i dont forget its in gear

as far as i know theyre discs, its a 2014 car so id assume so anyway, i barely know about that sort of thing

Just use the parking brake or "park" on an auto trans that's what it's there for
