Hmmm you changed the starter? Did you put all the cables like before? Might be on those or maybe broken grounding wire...

Even though voltage meter shows about 12V I would still check the battery condition next, those lights do not require much power so those might lit up even with almost dead battery. There maybe be 12V reading from the battery but available amps might be almost 0. Then the ignition switch, it isn't uncommon in older cars that the base part breaks with no visible outer damage.

Cuz when I usually turn the ignition around I usually do it like that with a. Screw and a small metal line and it usually works but when I did it last time when i hit it the light turned off idk if that caused for the thing to not work anymore

Well you cannot break the base part with using those tools instead of a key since it's separate part. If you have a multimeter you could test if it's functional at all. Heres an example of the part: https://zcardepot.com/collections/ignition-switch/products/ignition-starter-switch-240z-260z-280z-510

Ah alright

#

I was planning to just change the whole ignition switch but the thing is it doesn't have those 2 cables on the side

That light name (CHG) is supposed to be on

#

But it's not

#

So idk if the alternator got bad or if some cables got fried or messed up

I'd double check the cabling since you changed that starter
