Older car’s are more simple and easier to tune. Also older is more fun to deal with, and the engines look and sound better. I would aim for the 90s. A er34 25gt is 10k in Japan and a 2jz Toyota aristo you can get one with a supra 2jz for on the higher end of your budget. Both are reliable good cars. If u want auto I would go with the aristo.

Hell no, bruh those things are annoying to mod lmao. That is why most owners only stick a exhaust on em. The main engine mod is literally a supercharger kit that destroys mpg and reliability. Also you don’t even get 400whp out of it.

Also I doubt anyone wants to deal with their chains when taking apart the engine, not the best engine to have some fun with.
