Hello there,

Since the increasing development of Windows is a bit annoying to me, I started doing more with Linux. I got version 1.58.3 to work great with Linux Mint 22.0. In collaboration with Protondb and steamguides I was able to get the game to run well with a few tweaks. Unfortunately, since 1.59 with the multi-language update, I can no longer get BR to start under Linux using the usual methods.

So far these startup options have helped a lot and I've been able to play it semi-well (the notebook isn't really designed for gaming)

I use an 11 or 12 year old Acer Aspire E1-772G (Intel Core I5 ​​4200m CPU and a GeForce 820m GPU) so that I can get a bit more involved with Linux at work and make the switch without any problems and gain experience.
Current kernel is 6.8.0-51-generic

Little Update. I can Start BR with upper tweaks and proton version 3.7-8 but if im in Main Menu i see the Message Fatal Error. Same System but now im on Linux Mint 22.1 Current kernel is 6.8.0-52-generic

can you enable -dump launch option and if it crashes send dump file to us?

So I turned it on but it doesn't crash. I can only press OK in the main menu and the game then closes

to be fair I just enabled compatibility settings on Steam on latest Linux Mint and I can just start the game and play 😐

if it won't work please make sure you are on proton-hotfix compatibility setting on Steam

okay. i switchet to proton-hotfix, used your .exe and it dosnt work i gues my laptop is to old cause my gpus driver is to old and dont get any updates anymore

don't think it's a hardware issue, it's more an emulation issue

Hm okay. I try on Linux Mint 22.3 even with Proton hotfix it cant start. I guess its because i have two graphic cards on two notebooks. Next week i try on my old tower. I Text you here if i get news

Yea I tried alot of stuff from protondb and no fix. I guess I'll have to wait for the next update
