We got an update on time, next day another update that has yet to come out. So far it's one week of waiting, again... and we again have no information about the second update.

Also Jolly don't listen to Cultist Milk.

Lava has managed to make some updates come out on time in the past.

its still an apple issue, they need to completely vet any build for an update even stuff for hotfixes, so they take a long time to vet those insignificant patches that only fixe like 1 line of code

its a whole different beast if you do a patch once in a month type of thing, appl hate when you do pataches back to back like this where theres a major patch and hte next day theres a new patch for hotfix, it trigger the full approval process taht can take up to 2 weeks for them to finaly get let it go. ask anyone thats been here long enough and they'll tell you its always ends up like that with apple.

It has been 2 weeks and 2 days now.

I am pretty sure, we are either gonna get the update soon or we are gonna have to wait for the next update, which seems to be W7 Part 2, aka weeks of waiting possibly.

( I have a Pc so it doesn't affect me too much, but others may be completely unable to play.)

Sorry but dev here myself. Apple does definitely not need that long to verify a build. We had upmost in weekly releases 3-4 days as a MAX. The only thing it took a week was when we had a major release v2.4.1 -> v3.0.0 and that’s when they start checking deeper the release. They don’t care about small version bumps.

I’ve put a few bucks into the game now with the intention of playing it on the go on my phone.

Brother, you made a fantastic game that many people love. But neglecting half of the people here isn’t the solution. At least tell us what is going on rn and why we can’t play on mobile. Or find a proper solution that we can still play old versions..

This really needs to be addressed by Lava, it’s completely amateur and unacceptable. The only thing you can’t do is what they’re doing - radio silence. Please at least make a post of some sort about what we can expect

Considering that Lava hasn't given us statements in the past when we waited for 1 week and the fact he is working on W7 Part 2, as if nothing was wrong.

I'd doubt he will give us a statement.

We probably have to wait until what he's working on release ,which realistically is multiple more weeks (like possibly even upwards of 2months) of waiting.
As he has only been working on it for ≈1 month now.

(I am not defending Lava, what he is doing is wrong, aka not addressing this issue.
I am just saying facts, that we probably won't get a statement from him, because he apparently doesn't seem to care.)

All in all this Situation really sucks and it's frustrating to not be able to play on mobile, for those that can only play on mobile, it sucks even more.

I’m late to the discussion.
But can’t play on iOS is frustrating. What the deal with the mismatch. Is it an iOS thing? ( meaning they are taking time vetting the update) or is it a developer thing(meaning we have to wait until iOS gets an update)

Yeah, I feel ya ,Lava neglects mobile players , especially when it comes to updates and bug fixes.

At some point he apparently said that, "Idleon has always been a PC game with a mobile version."

Idk where he said that, but it was in context to this update wait.

Taking into account that Lava was in W1 town yesterday, we can expect an Event update.
(As lava usually hangs around the areas where he adds something)

The next Possible Event would Valentinsday so an update should come out this month, most likely around the 14th as thats valentinsday

What I said ain't absurd.
We have been waiting since the 25th dezember, I thought it was worth mentioning how many weeks it has been now without IOS being playable.
(As this is a record long)

As for the update,
I never said that it is 100% guaranteed, as Lava hasn't said anything about it yet himself.
(Expecting an update, doesn't mean it will surely come out)

I said that, Chances are in our favor he pushes an Valentins update out, because various different factors.

Honestly i’m kind of pissed at lava. He could have adresse the situation in 2 second tops. "Hey guys i’m sorry, the game won’t be available on ios till next update because of XYZ" but he decided to let us in the dark…

There was something on Reddit where Lava said he'd fix the iOS situation in the next update, planned this month.

But I agree, this was a bit of a sting on Lava's reputation. Commendable work as a solo dev, for sure, but that praise isn't going to hold up as an excuse if issues like this repeat.

Some people have quit, however a good chunk of the people that haven't quit yet, is probably gonna come back to playing on IOS.

People that can access IOS and Steam and do will most likely still be around.
And once its "fixed" we can finally play IOS again.

**Heres my Opinion: **
Well there a few things to quitting a game.

Just to make it clear THIS IS MY OPINION.

  • First things is routine ,usually you play Idleon every day ,but the more days you cant play the more it gets out of your routine ,to the point where you dont care about the game anymore.

  • then we have well felling neglected by the dev and not wanting to support the game further.

When it comes to idleon itself
Sure you don't loose everything ,but time is still very important.

  • Daily and Weekly things couldn't be completed meaning loosing progression opportunities you would have usually used
    ( like getting gems from Minibosses,etc..)

  • time gated things like Alchemy, Construction, Refinery are also behind, due to not being abled to claim them

  • **Tome nametags **couldn't be claimed and due to not being able to play your tome rank probably went down, meaning overall you "lost progression" compared to others who can play

  • People also missed the weekly ballots W2/7 which would have been huge to experience, as they are different each week and havibg the same combo twice isnt too likely

Overall its a mix of disappointment in the dev, the game getting out of peoples routines and stuff that requires time not being doable.

no, it really is apple that hate hotfixes patches that happen too soon after a release. if you watch the history of ios version miss mach on here, its always happen because lava had to do an hotfix soon after the main patch launch.

That’s not what’s causing the current issue, yes apple doesn’t like quick patches but it’s not apple that is blocking ios player right now but lava

Reminder that IOS delay is usually an average of 1 week, but this has been 8 weeks.
So going ahead and blaming one side only doesn't make sense.

Look as a player base who uses iOS more than the other platform and not being able to access said platform for two months makes you feel disregarded and not important. There has been no word from lava no acknowledgment nothing. Now finally there’s an update coming though and we can play again. And considering this is the FIRST update since giftmas lava did not push through an update for iOS only. We get he’s busy but it’s still inconsiderate.
