There is a consistent issue I find with posting bug reports in the appropriate chat, where people just react with wind or X and give no context in dms for example, and it feels as if it just adds more insult to injury, I think it might be more useful to add a ticketing system, and have people properly address bug reports that way on a dedicated team, there are several bots out there, and you can have them make ticket chats at the bottom of the discord out of the way of everything else for the people on said team, but in general, there is no feedback from the people putting the wind or X emotes on posts, and it feels like there is no reason to post in there cause nothing gets done about it but those emotes and then never gets checked back on or acknowledged further, it may genuinely help to seperate the section to a bot ticket system instead of time gating posts there and relying solely on emotes and replies in different chats
#I feel as if bug reports don't get proper addressing, and a solution to the problem

also content suggestion is only for server side stuff, because there is no server suggestion tag
While I do get it would be nice to have a response to why people put the X and the wind emote I can give a short explanation
The wind means its a repeat bug report, which is a bit annoying because people often don't read and see if the bug they are reporting has been reported before (I have done this on accident before so I personally don't judge tho) and the X is often because people put stuff in the chat that is not a bug, like, at all, in fact I've seen a few post things that literally do exactly what the description says and then expect it to do something else
the main reason bugs aren't getting addressed is because you cant figure out which bugs need prioritization since people repost the same bug over and over and refuse to even look to see fi someone has mentioned it so they can upvote that one
I agree the system needs work but the current system does work if people would use it properly, and the issue is that the ticketing system would have the exact same problem as this one
To add further to this, another issue is that people comment unnecesary things in there, sometimes something that could go into the player-sug-discuss or even the player-suggestions
fair, I can understand your points, I just believe that the way the system is set up currently as an emote based system requiring people with a bug to check, actually works against the intended purpose, because the chat gets flooded with reports constantly, all of them get buried
I think it should 100% be handled in a different manner, because as a newer person to the server, it feels impossible to navigate/get help
Well to this alot of the "bugs" are not bugs just idiots
ignoring the blatantly rude part of that, it'd be easier for people with less understanding to get ahold of the situation if it was more clearly addressed or handled
alternatively, they could add another emote to solve this issue if they want to maintain the emote system, to put things in suggestions, like how in suggestions you can react with
It is already. People help them by doing this in gen chat
I've not encountered a single instance between the 2-3 bugs I've reported of people messaging me, saying to do anything, and I still believe that is not properly addressing or handling the situation
people have only been reacting with an emote, and then leaving the posts alone, it feels like reddit karma almost
Green one means already done x means not bug
This i just plain not allowed in bug report
I think a system similar to the achievements section would be useful where there was automatically a up vote, an X, and the wind
I feel like that would help a lot, bit yeah not saying anything to those who falsely report to help clear up confusion does happen quite a bit, I think that's partially due tot hw sheer quantity of how many there are now
Also yeah idk why they could pin
in regards to this, I'm curious on why it was pinned and the wind emotes, if it's suppose to be not allowed
It's reminding you, already reported and pins mean Check pins
yea, the size of how many reports go into the bug section is why I say it's effectively impossible for the people coming in to read all the old bug reports, I think it'd be better if they handled it by "ah that bug still exists, and is a recurring issue" rather than "someone already reported this, L on you for not finding it" and then adding a wind emote
legitimately, thank you for that clarifier, cause I couldn't find that anywhere
honestly, they could also use threads there in order to make things easier
this will act as a pseudo ticket system that'll make it easier to find repeat posts, and properly comment with a link to the main post, and highly upvoted or regularly talked about posts can go up in the chain, meaning they are more regularly had, or important to deal with
@timber cradle thoughts?
That would probably be a better system than the current one, it'd go along with the current usual systems for player post about the game, although idrk hoe much of an improvement it'd be over the current one
Instead of thread system, just having a pin on bug reports channel to tell players on what emote to react on is enough. Feedback channel already had enough of problems, such as repeated, very unimportant suggestions.
this is already an issue, that is only made worse by people not wanting to scroll, and being bombarded with tons of pictures, long texts and so on, that threads would significantly reduce, at minimum, which is already an improvement
who deleted that message?
I was about to reply to something pichuyang just said, regarding a screenshot of 2 random messages in bug reports and their idea stating "threads is a terrible idea, because lots of people are too stupid to scroll"
but yea, as for how it'd be a better improvement, it'd allow for more images, and text to be stored in smaller spaces, also allowing the format of "title, platform, version," etc. to work in their favor
not to mention reacting to posts would still be applicable, and 100 threads is probably easier to remove than 100 repeat comments
so moderating it should in theory be easier
