I mean the way I do it is if I see something that can be improved I try to find the sources and work on them. If your so early though I would say focus on the current skills in your world which can help, and go back and look at the other skills like alch, po boxes, killroy and so one to see things your weak in and work on them

each class has 1 main stat and one secondary stat that gives them accuracy. if you use upgrade stones on your dk, they will give your gear strength, but you don't need that strength. so what you do is you put new gear in your shaman's inventory, use the stones there to give your gear wisdom and then swap this new gear to your dk
