Candy doesn't work, when you actively play on a masterclass within their mode a fragment drops and after collecting 1000 of them you unlock the ability to get 1 afk item per hour of combat afk that the Masterclass character does

the item you get per hour of combat afk is what you can use to get a burst of the MC resource within

after unlocked the combat AFK you do does not need to be within the MC form you can just do it outside and build up the afk item and then when you return to it spend them

yea it's advisable when you unlock a MC to get their AFK unlocked so you can passively gain the afk items

newly released MCs don't typically have the AFK item available and they are added [some patch] later so when the newer ones release don't expect such immediately, but for all 3 released ones their AFK items exist

it gives class xp, good statues bonuses, multikill bonus, main stats(wis,agi), trapping-worshipping bonuses, cooking bonuses, and it enhances some talents for example a talent of pirate, a talent of deathbringer etc

so if getting those 40m kills are hard, don't rush imo. you'll get very good bonuses already by progressing

Rift is super important has some huge QoL buffs for cards and huge things for progress elsewhere and onyx depends on your dr

That i have seen. The gold rush event was such a huge boost to progress as most of my sub stats are level 50 as of now. I have achieved platinum accessories and am very close to another temporary break through in progress
