Lab has a lot of really good bonuses so it is worth investing as many characters as you can into it. There is a node almost immediately that doubles print output for all characters that are in lab so ideally you'd sample what resources you need then slap those guys in the lab. Good idea to cycle one at a time to get elite classes then use a divine knight to push through w4 while everyone else works on getting better lab bonuses connected
