Starting from w4 you really just want to focus on ONE character that will be your pusher (The character who goes through all the maps) and dump the rest into lab until you get an elite class on the pusher then do it for all the others one at a time then you finally start pushing until w5

no, it's so you can do cranium cooking actively

basically your arcane cultist will be collecting rocks afk and you can active at night with your bubo as well for cranium cooking

as opposed to having just 1 arcane cultist which would make you stop generating afk rocks to do cranium cooking

the other 'informed' option would be to make both of them ac and get double rocks most of the time BUT
you end up unable to turn him to ES easily with a red class swap token so you're pretty much locking it in as an AC no matter what meta changes happen

anyways my suggestion is to keep 1 of them as a bubo just in case.
