Okay I'm having a really weird time figuring out catching even though I'm in like W7 and have some good alch progress and stuff.

It feels like my boxes dont really give me much critters. I use the 20h box so that autocollect can trigger because hourly logging in is not an option. As an example, I have a few pufferfish but never get any shines, and I think when they drop it's not much. I have to have like 8 slots dedicated to rats because I run out in the refinery all the time. I dont understand how I'm supposed to eventually 1000m stack these.

I did an account review forever ago and was told to "get a system" for my traps but that didn't make any sense to me

Is there a specific setup I should be following for maximum shiny+normal critters?

If you're not very high level yet, your best way to get ladles is from the W4 Col and Mutant Mushrooms with DK. (If you're doing mushrooms, fill your orb first, THEN activate the mushrooms just before the orb times out.)

Still can't answer this question, but I did a test, because I am weird that way. I think cooking efficiency mainly affects the efficiency multiplier shown on the AFK page, which is where the bigger boosts come from.

I stripped down one of my beginners, who was at 5x multiplier, and brought him to 185k efficiency, which is a small way into the 6x multiplier. He would get 214 ladles a day.

The breakpoint to the next multiplier was 260k. I checked at 194k, 230k 256k and it was still 214 ladles. (That's 71k added with no more ladles.) Added 5k more (to 261k) and it jumped to 250 ladles day (the 7x multiplier).

So the question is, is there a list of all the skill efficiency breakpoints? 🤣 Makes me want to start a new account to find out what it is from zero. lol.

basically:
if you need to upgrade or craft something that requires wood, you can chop a tree, click the 3d print star talent to sample the woods you need for it.
then hourly you get the amount that is written to you.

Sample size is determined by your AFK rate for that mob/resource. So if you're chopping wood and want to increase size, you need more skill effiency and chopping power. If you're killing gmush, you need to up your dmg and reach the next multikill tier for higher samples per hour

You still need to work on efficiency/tools/levels/gear, but this will get you bigger samples when your samples are small.

I wouldn't worry too much about sampling and 3D printer if you just unlocked it. Once you get to W5 and unlock the Hare god, you can get a x3 buff to whatever you're printing, and if you put a character with the Hare god in lab, you can x6 times what's shown on the printer

And your samples are naturally going to get bigger as you advance. There are lots of things that add to your sample size and lots of other things that add to your efficiency.

@kao My base is 40k Dande woods, but the star next to the number means it's being boosted by the Hare god, so instead of 40k I'll get 120k, and then the one below is connected to Hare god and Lab, so instead of 50k (for simplicity sake) I'll get 300k.

I get 377k kills per hour and around 40k mats from printer from this mob. If I were to get my DMG to the next Multikill tier (purple bar and number at the bottom) I would get ~400k kills and ~50k mats per hour.

Tools work in a similar way, using skill efficiency instead of DMG. This will be your base for printer.

Then, you have "The Royal Sampler", a prayer that increases your Sample size by 20% at the lowest iirc, turning the 40k mats i get per hour into 48k. Now, If I go into alchemy and upgrade the vials/bubbles that affect sample size, then the number will be even bigger.

Multikill is what it sounds like - Each kill you get on a mob counts as x2/3/4/5/etc kills (and drops) depending on how high your DMG is, further boosted by the amount of kills you have of each Mob in a particular World

This will take you from killing 20k-30k mobs an hour to 100k, 1m and so on

Mostly, yeah. My ES can get me 100k mob drops in 1 minute while 3d printer says it'd take around 20 minutes for the same amount (with x6 boost). You can use Vman during void run to get a high sample size from mob drops if needed

I did Maestro and Vman at the same time, lol. (Do not recommend. :P) I was Jman for...forever, like 6 months, because I suck at the catching game and gave up. lol. That said, Jman brings a lot to the table to help your other characters.

Vman boosts everyone's class experience, damage, multikill...speeds up cooking, increases statue bonuses. You'll be glad you made him, when you get there.

Don’t use charge syphon, it wastes all your charge - very beneficial to use your charge to level worship on all characters

Yes, do TD on your BM for the root and kick abilities which help when you get overwhelmed

Wizard just kinda exists, put talents into things that will benefit worship

Charges are used for both. But at first when getting souls I got like...20 for 40 charge or something, and now it is thousands for the same amount of charge. So just keep working at it, and it'll only get better. (e.g. if you have a bad run, it still uses your highest wave.)

thats crazy to me. I have such low accuracy. I got 1 character on each type of acc item I need for alchemy. I do my weeklies and dailies. My accuracy just consistently stays so low

Yeah it’ll take a while to get your bloach 3D prints up, make sure you do your clickers (Orion/poppy) for some free accuracy and stats, also don’t forget the vault

You use the stones while actively on your mage to give them wisdom as a bonus, then send them to your warrior

The upgrade stones will add the main stat of whatever class you use when you’re upgrading with them

So mages will give wisdom, archers agility, warriors strength

If you click Codex, and then click the first tab (Quests) it'll give you more details on what you are supposed to do. (Been a long time since I did that one.) The Quest tab is more accurate/clearer than what the NPCs say.

You probably want to play actively on the Beans map. You need a Crystal Carrot to spawn to drop the stamp (Crystallin) that the quest is looking for, and they only drop from Crystal monsters, which spawn on occasion when you're fighting regular ones.

I sometimes crush it, and dry toast it, cook it in the minimal amount of water, and make sort of egg fried rice with the toasty noodles as the rice...scrambled eggs, scallions, garlic, sometimes something green, sometimes a protein, sesame oil and soy sauce. Wow, it's almost like real food! (lol, that last is a joke at our house when I have this for lunch, because I tend to eat lunches that have questionable nutrition.)

It'll keep getting better! And check out that chart, lots of little sources that add up! And when you, say, level a Wisdom stamp or vial, it'll help your Warriors' accuracy, and stuff like that.

I would probably just follow the list - there's a top section, like do these first, and then they are grouped by what you need and listed as most productive, I guess? I definitely wouldn't use one on something like Kitchen upgrades (ratatooey), but I suppose it depends on where you are in your game.
