You have two options:

1. Kill them away from your important towers.
2. Use the voidinator tower to remove their attribute and turn them into normal mobs

The former will be more effective as those types of enemies usually appear in swarms

Other methods include using frozone towers to slow down the wave before it reaches anything crucial (though this usually leads to the frozone tower getting stunned) and using kraken towers to keep the mobs at a distance.

For an earlier setup, I find a quick and dirty build works well on many maps:

• Build 3 boulder towers.
• Add a frozone in front and a 4th boulder at the back.
• Add 2 party, 2 thunder and 2-3 more party towers to buff the boulders. These are usually placed above/below the main area.
• Add 2-3 kraken towers behind the boulders. These will help you hold off any big HP mobs.
• add 1 voidinator in front of the frozone tower. This is mainly used to remove green/purple/blue attributes from big mobs. Though its upgrades also let you buff your boulders even further.

Later on you'll want to transition to poisonic towers instead of boulder, though for now boulder towers are you biggest asset

Yeah, I bet that'd work great, except AFK only (no active genes). It's one of those things like cogs, diminishing returns as time passes. And while there are BEST places to get the most genes, I just started grabbing any time I happen to be in W1 for deathnote or something like that. (All of my chars had W1 guns.)

there's either griffy's playthrough on a new account going in detail on everything and taking it slow or speedrun playthrough by idlemanezed which is kinda old but still relevant
